🇺🇸 GRAND JURY DECLINES TO INDICT FATHER WHO SHOT ATTACKERS BEATING HIS SON'S HEAD INTO PAVEMENT

He did what any father would do.

A Kentucky grand jury declined to indict Jacob Lee Bard, 48, who was charged with murder after shooting two people during an attack on his family at Kentucky State University on December 9.

One student, 19-year-old De'Jon Fox, was killed.

The defense's account: Bard was moving his son out of the dorm after withdrawing both sons due to "multiple armed, violent" incidents against them, some captured on security cameras.

Two armed campus police officers were present.

When the family reached the dormitory entrance, 20-30 people in masks and hoods rushed out and attacked.

They were beating his son's head against the pavement.

Bard opened fire.

His attorneys:

"Jacob's actions were absolutely justified under the law, and were the only measure that prevented his son's death or serious injury."

The grand jury agreed. Bard is out of jail.

The backstory: In October, the younger son reported a dorm burglary and received death threats afterward.

Both sons are now in an undisclosed location due to continued threats.

This was the second shooting near that residence hall in four months.

A father protected his son from a mob.

The system got this one right.
