April's Housing Report is in and Southeast Michigan’s spring market is definitely gaining momentum.
The last open house I hosted had a dozen bidders in less than an hour! Currently, there are 4,828 homes on the market — a 39% increase from last month — giving buyers more opportunities and a little more breathing room as inventory continues to grow.
At the same time, closings are also on the rise, with 2,609 homes closed in April, up 11% from the previous month. That tells us buyers are still actively making moves when the right home and right strategy come together.
What does this mean for you?
It means the market is active, but thoughtful. Buyers are being more intentional. Sellers still need strong pricing, preparation, and presentation to stand out. And in a market shifting this quickly, local knowledge matters more than ever.
