Powderly Branch - Birmingham Public Library System

Patrons joined us on May 21, 2026 for a relaxing afternoon of crafting as we transformed upcycled glass jars into beautiful pressed-flower candle holders. Participants used colorful dried flowers and recycled glass jars to create unique decorative pieces that are perfect for brightening up a home or garden space.

It was wonderful to see everyone's creativity shine as ordinary jars were given a second life through art and imagination. Programs like these are a great way to learn a new craft, connect with others, and explore sustainable ways to create something beautiful.
