Wow, what an incredible Egyptian Night at Warren Peace Cafe! We packed the house and enjoyed one of the most successful events in our café’s history.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our customers and friends who joined us and made the evening such a memorable success. Your support means the world to us.

Special thanks go out to our amazing staff, Becky, Hannah, and Tanya—whose hard work helped make the event run so smoothly. We’d also like to give special recognition to Tanya’s husband, Ahmed Abdelrehim, who prepared an authentic Egyptian feast that delighted our guests and brought a true taste of Egypt to Bisbee.

We are grateful for this wonderful community and for everyone who helped make the evening so special. Much love to you all!

I’ll close with a speech Hannah wrote and presented during the event:

“At Warren Peace Café, our name has always carried a deeper meaning..a reminder that every day, each of us faces our own quiet battles, our own war on peace. Life can be loud, demanding, unpredictable. But when we gather, when we share food, when we choose compassion over judgment and connection over isolation, we push back against that noise. We reclaim a little more harmony.

Tonight’s Egyptian Dinner Night is part of that mission.

We chose Egypt not only because its cuisine is rich, vibrant, and rooted in ancient tradition, but because Egyptian culture understands something essential: peace is created through people. Through hospitality. Through generosity. Through the simple act of sitting together at a table and sharing what we have.

Egypt is one of the world’s oldest civilizations..a place where community has always been the heartbeat of daily life. From the Nile Valley to the bustling markets of Cairo, Egyptians have long believed that food is not just nourishment, but a bridge. A way to welcome strangers. A way to honor family. A way to keep stories alive.

The dishes you’re enjoying tonight carry centuries of history..African, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern influences woven together into flavors that comfort, energize, and connect. But the food is only part of the story.

Tonight is about us..this community, this café, this moment.

It’s about remembering that peace isn’t something we wait for. It’s something we build.
Together.
With compassion.
With presence.
With shared meals and shared humanity.

At Warren Peace Café, we believe that every gathering is an opportunity to soften the world a little. To remind one another that we belong somewhere. That we matter to each other. That even in a small town, we can celebrate cultures far beyond our own and honor the beauty they bring into our lives.

So thank you for being here.. for supporting this café, for supporting one another, and for choosing connection in a world that often pulls us apart. May tonight’s meal remind us that peace grows wherever people come together with open hearts.

And may we continue, in our own ways, to win the quiet war on our peace..one shared table, one conversation, one act of kindness at a time.”

🌿 A Space for Community 🌿

When we created the new covered patio area at Warren Peace Cafe, our vision extended far beyond simply adding seating. We wanted to create a welcoming community space where people can gather, learn, celebrate, create, and connect.

Our covered outdoor venue is available for a wide variety of community activities, including:

🧘 Yoga and wellness classes
🎨 Art workshops and creative gatherings
🎶 Music performances and jam sessions
🎤 Guest speakers, presentations, and educational events
💍 Weddings and celebrations
🕊️ Memorials and celebrations of life
🤝 Community meetings and nonprofit events

We believe that strong communities are built when people have places to come together. Our hope is that this space becomes a valuable community asset for Bisbee—a place where friendships are formed, ideas are shared, talents are showcased, and important life moments are celebrated.

Whether you’re an instructor, artist, musician, community organizer, or simply someone with an idea that could bring people together, we’d love to hear from you.

Warren Peace Cafe is more than a coffee shop. It’s a gathering place for our community.

If you’d like to explore using the space for an event or activity, stop by or send us a message.

☮️❤️ Building community, one gathering at a time.

🎨🦅 NOW SHOWING AT WARREN PEACE CAFE: THE BUZZARD ART OF MIKE MONTOYA 🦅🎨

We’re excited to announce a special exhibition during June and July featuring the unique and unmistakable Buzzard Art of local Bisbee musician, songwriter, and artist Mike Montoya.

Mike’s work celebrates one of the Southwest’s most misunderstood and fascinating birds—the turkey vulture, affectionately known around here as the “buzzard.” Through photography, mixed media, repurposed artwork, and imaginative compositions, Mike transforms these iconic desert scavengers into striking pieces that are equal parts humorous, thought-provoking, and beautiful.

Many people know Mike as the frontman and creative force behind the longtime Arizona band Fatigo, a musician who has spent decades performing throughout Arizona and the Southwest. Beyond his music, Mike has been deeply involved in Bisbee’s creative community, helping foster local music and arts while mentoring young musicians on both sides of the border through programs such as Studio Mariposa. He is also well known for his signature “vulture culture” artwork, often creating original pieces using found and repurposed paintings as his canvas.

This collection features a variety of original works—from haunting black-and-white photography to colorful mixed-media creations that showcase Mike’s distinctive artistic vision. Whether you’re a bird lover, art enthusiast, or simply curious about one of Bisbee’s most creative talents, you’ll find something worth stopping to admire.

🖼️ Original works are available for purchase.
☕ Enjoy a great cup of coffee while exploring the collection.
📍 On display now at Warren Peace Cafe, Bisbee.

Come support local art, local music, and one of Bisbee’s most recognizable creative voices. You may never look at a buzzard the same way again!

Then and Now at the Warren Peace Cafe backyard. Quite a change in the last 2.5 years.

05/25/2026

Today, Warren Peace Cafe pauses to recognize the true meaning of Memorial Day. While many of us gather with family and friends, enjoy a meal, or take part in holiday traditions, we also remember that this day exists because brave men and women made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day. We honor those heroes and the families who carry their memories forward.

From all of us at Warren Peace Cafe, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who gave everything for our country. Today we remember, we honor, and we are thankful.

🇺🇸 Never forgotten.
