This summer, Jacob Taylor has been gaining hands-on experience as a transportation engineering intern with Colliers Engineering & Design in the firm's Philadelphia office.
Throughout the summer, Jacob has contributed to a wide range of transportation projects, including developing detour plans, erosion and sedimentation controls, sidewalk repairs, crosswalk striping and signing, and soil stockpile estimates. His work has supported projects across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan, ranging from local crosswalk redesigns to the rehabilitation of an entire stretch of interstate highway through Lansing, Michigan.
"It has been an incredible experience. I've enjoyed everything I've worked on, and the atmosphere is great."
