I’m in New Orleans,Louisiana so I thought I’d give you a one pot inspired by my birthday trip! 🎉I’m so excited to share this recipe with you! It’s super simple and wildly delicious! My website isn’t working 😭 so here’s the recipe right here ! Slice about 7 oz of smoked sausage on the diagonal! (I used half of my sausage link pictured)Brown on each side in a little olive oil then remove from pan. Season 4 skin on bone in chicken thighs with 1/2 tbsp. Of Tony’s Creole, 1 tsp of: smoked paprika, onion & garlic powder, and 1 tbsp. Of Italian seasoning. Brown in the same pan (you aren’t cooking through; just browning). About 5 minutes east side. Then remove to a plate.In SAME PAN add the trinity! (2 stalks of chopped celery, 1 small chopped onion, & half a bell pepper) Sauté (mop up a little bit of the oil) until golden.Then, add chopped garlic (5-6cloves) and sauté another minute) or until golden.Then add & sauté 2 tbsp of tomato paste for a minute or so. Sauté in 2 tsp of chicken base another minute. Deglaze with 4 oz of white wine. Let alcohol burn out a couple minutes. Add juice of 1 lemon. And about 1/2 tbsp. Of Slap Ya momma seasoning. Add a couple shakes of Louisiana hot sauce and salt & pepper! Add 1 cup of long grain rice and sauté. A couple minutes. Add 1 & 1/2 cups of water. And bring to boil. Once it’s boiling lower to a simmer. Nestle in the sausage. Add the chicken on top. Cover with the lid. And bake in the oven at 400°F for about 40 minutes! I so hope you try this recipe!
