When Greylock Glen Center opened the doors to their new visitor and education center at the base of Mount Greylock, they brought us in to design and build the exhibit inside. Together we created an immersive walk into a Berkshire forest.

An illuminated ceiling fixture suspends life-sized acrylic cutouts of seven native bird species on aircraft cable. Sculptural trees rise from a printed floor scattered with animal tracks. Custom wallpaper and informational kiosks teach visitors about local biodiversity, native plants, mass timber construction, and the forests that surround the building itself.

The Outdoor Center sits at the foot of Mount Greylock, the tallest peak in Massachusetts at 3,489 feet. The building is net-zero, LEED-rated, and built with sustainable Glulam timber by Souliere & Zepka Construction, designed by Vermont Integrated Architecture. We were honored to contribute the exhibit at the heart of it.
