Our Story

Register NOW to guarantee your place in New England’s premiere motorcycle fundraiser celebrating Fidelco Guide Dogs life-improving program for blind military veterans and first responders.

Riders will be wrapped in glorious fall foliage colors during this year’s Ride for Independence as they cruise a scenic, police-escorted, 50-mile route through the Connecticut hillside; treated to a delicious Bear's Smokehouse BBQ lunch and live acoustic concert featuring Dave O’Hagan, founder of legendary Shovelhead; and enjoy special Oktoberfest refreshments.

Our Ride for Independence promises to be bigger than ever this year! The event begins and ends at Fidelco Guide Dogs’ Bloomfield, CT campus with registration opening at 9:30am. Fidelco Guide Dogs Ride for Independence is a family-friendly event. No bike, no problem. Non-riders can enjoy lunch and music, great shopping, and Fidelco German Shepherd Dogs.
