Meet the Staff - Kelsey

Kelsey is one of our most familiar faces in Bloomington as one of our main technicians! She additionally helps in the post-operative care of our in-office based procedures. We are so fortunate to have retained her from Dr. Fornefeld after his retirement. While Kelsey graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, she has spent the greater 5 years in ophthalmology! She continues to strive for further education in this field and is eager to learn more every day.

She enjoys spending her time away from work with her son, whether outdoors or at concerts!

Meet the Staff - Tamika, COA

Tamika is one of our surgical scrub technicians for our in-office based procedures. While you likely may only run across her path if you are having surgery, we encourage you to seek out her knowledge in clinic! She has a total of 26 years of experience in the ophthalmology field and holds her Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification from JCAHPO, iFS Femtosecond Laser System Operator certification, Allegreto Wavelight certification and IntraLase System Operator certification. She estimates that she has assisted in several thousands of various eye surgeries, and counting, during her career including ICL, LASIK, SMILE, PRK, etc.

She values spending her time away from work with her husband, 2 daughters and grand-daughter. She enjoys traveling, crafting and making home-made chocolate covered sweets!

Meet the Staff - Ann, COA

Ann is Dr. Davis' right hand as his scribe. She assists in our in-office based procedures weekly and is capable of helping in almost any area of our clinic. She has a total of 20 years of experience in the ophthalmology field and holds her Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification from JCAHPO, iFS Femtosecond Laser System Operator certification, iDesign Refractive certification and IntraLase System Operator certification. Ann graduated from the Optician/Technician Program at Indiana University School of Optometry in 2005 and has loved ophthalmology since.

She values spending her time away from work with her husband, Matt, and their 2 boys; One of which has been an employee of ours, as well, between school sessions!

Meet the Staff - Samantha

Most days, you will find her right when you walk in the front door! She handles our check-in and out process, patient phone calls and so much more! Sam has nearly 3 years of experience in the ophthalmology field and now says herself, "I'll be doing this for the rest of my life!" It is such a gift to watch someone become introduced to ophthalmology and fall in love with it!

She enjoys spending her time away from work relaxing with her dog, Ty.

Meet the Staff - Shelby, COA

Shelby is our Human Resources Director, surgery scheduler, refractive coordinator and additionally handles our marketing and social media accounts. She has a total of 13 years of experience in the ophthalmology field and holds her Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification from JCAHPO, iFS Femtosecond Laser System Operator certification, iDesign Refractive certification, and most recently acquired, IntraLase System Operator certification. She has been an active member of the American Academy of Opthalmic Professionals since 2020, which she truly enjoys. She estimates that she has assisted in approximately 2,000 various eye surgeries, and counting, during her career. Shelby holds a certification from the Society for Human Resources Management in addition to receiving advanced individual training as a Human Resources Specialist from the United States Army.

She values spending her time away from work with her husband, Riley, and their 3 children. Unfortunately for us, her time away from work will become more frequent very soon. She will be leaving our practice at the end of the calendar year to pursue a differing career.
