Join our third quarter of 2026 Artist-in-Residence, Jimi Benedict, on July 25th, 2026, to learn how to construct a finished three-dimensional cardboard owl. In this course, students will learn how to assemble sculptures through working with this unconventional medium. As Jimi puts it, “I always wanted to simply be free to create…Cardboard is familiar, unglamorous, and a little absurd, which is why it feels right. Making sculpture from it feels like an expression of that freedom”. Learn more and sign up here: https://brmaa.org/owl-july-25-26/

You are invited to an Opening Reception for 2 Extraordinary Exhibits This Saturday, June 6th, 2025, at 5:00 PM! In the Richard Low Evans Gallery. The Shape of Clay" is a fine art exhibit showcasing two- and three-dimensional clay artists’ works. These artists combine technical skill, imagination, and craftsmanship to produce works that range from decorative wall pieces and tiles to functional pottery and sculptural forms. In the Branch Gallery, paper artist Jimiyo Benedict sculptures transform common packaging materials into stylized animal forms that sit between craft, design, and folk sculpture. His work emphasizes rhythm, surface pattern, and the structural potential of an everyday medium. The Opening Reception is free and open to the public, join us this Saturday to support these artists! See you then!
