We would like to thank all of you who came out Friday and Saturday. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. If there are plants you are interested in for next year please let me know as soon as possible. It is warm here at scout camp but I haven’t melted yet. Everyone try to stay cool and keep those plants well watered. If you haven’t planted them yet, keep them in the shade and baby them until it cools off. Have a great summer and if we can help please let me know. - Anne

New Hosta from Green Hill Hosta. Two are so new they are not in Hostalibrary.org

Cherry Cheesecake

NEW!!! (Solberg 2024)’ Upright, Medium. This is the one! I am constantly told that red petioles are pretty, but you cannot see them in the garden. Our newest yellow hosta has bright red petioles on very upright leaves that scream for attention. It also has red bracts and straight red scapes and of course the red is visible well into the top of the leaf. It is taller than its sibling, ‘Ruby Earrings’, and stands at attention. (Too new to be in Hosta Library)

Stranded on a Sandbar

NEW!!! (Solberg 2024) – Small. Variegated sport of ‘Lettuce Wrap’. Some hostas are just blessings from the lab. This variegated form of our small yellow hosta ‘Lettuce Wrap’ sports yellow margins that become creamy in summer. Like many light-margined yellow hostas the leaf center appears to be greener than its parent. It magically is also nice and vigorous here in the nursery. Part of our “Sports Bar” series, it is my small tribute to the passing of Jimmy Buffett. (Too new to be in Hosta Library)

Phoenix Feathers

Mature Size: 16"T x 35"W)
* Wavy yellow leaves held on red petioles.
* Petioles are held upright and the leaves arch downward.
* The red from the petioles does come into the base of the leaf.
* Holds the yellow color all season and actually becomes a darker gold color in late summer.
* Lavender flowers on red scapes in late summer.
Why Should I Grow It? Nice yellow leaves with red petioles. It's new!
