CHANGE OF PLANS

The rain the last 2 mornings has derailed plans for outdoor offroad racing on Saturday, July 11th. Sizzling Summer Outdoor Round 3 Postponed

It seems one of our 8th scale racers must have really pi**ed off Mother Nature since we can’t seem to get good enough weather to hold a proper outdoor offroad race this year. Whoever it was, please apologize.

The rebuild of the outdoor offroad track has been temporarily rained out. We got all the new stuff roughed in and then overnight rain Wednesday night and Thursday night have left the track with puddles and deeply soaked the loose areas around the new features.

At this time, with additional rain forecast during the day Friday, it doesn’t look like it will be possible to have the track ready for racing at a decent hour on Saturday.

However, if the forecast holds it should be possible to finish the track late Saturday with some luck and some help with putting down the pipe. We will post an update no later than noon on Saturday.

If we can finish the track up sometime Saturday we will try to club race on Sunday using the Freaky Fast format of 1 qualifier and mains.

So we are shifting to Plan B.

If we get enough people we will race 10th scale indoors on Saturday with racing beginning at 2. Otherwise it will be an indoor practice day. Let your friends know and come out and race.

If we are able to finish up the outdoor track build that is underway, we will club race 8th scale outdoors on Sunday, July 12th. Racing will begin at 1 and we plan to run our Freaky Fast format of 1 round of qualifying and extended mains so that we can finish early ahead of the work week for most people.
