💙 A Special Respite Activity for Families of Children on the Spectrum

This week, we had the privilege of leading a project that touched us deeply- a unique and specially adapted activity for families of children on the spectrum, giving them a few hours of calm between the sirens and the chaos around us.

The activity took place in several rounds and in small groups, in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, to create a pleasant, safe, and accessible space for everyone.

What did we have?

🎈 Inflatables.
🍫 An interactive chocolate workshop.
🎨 A creative arts corner.
💃 Dancing and songs.
🍕 Pizza and delicious cakes.
🎁 And finally, each participant received a special kit with Passover activities and fun things to enjoy at home too (:

The feedback we received from participants was truly moving, and it showed us how important and needed this initiative is.
The chance to get some fresh air, share experiences, meet peers, take part in activities, and simply leave the house for a while is meaningful for everyone- and especially for this community.

We are planning to hold additional gatherings and distribute more personalized activity kits during the coming week.

פעילות הפגה מיוחדת למשפחות לילדי תקשורת💙

השבוע זכינו להוביל מיזם שריגש אותנו באופן מיוחד- פעילות ייחודית ומותאמת למשפחות לילדי תקשורת שזכו לכמה שעות של רגיעה, בין האזעקות והרעש מסביב!

הפעילות התקיימה בכמה סבבים ובקבוצות קטנות, בהתאם להנחיות פיקוד העורף, כדי לאפשר מרחב נעים, בטוח ומותאם לכולם.

אז מה היה לנו?

🍫 סדנת שוקולד חווייתית.
🎨 פינת יצירה.
💃 ריקודים ושירים.
🍕 פיצות ועוגות מפנקות.
🎁 ולבסוף, כל אחד קיבל ערכה שווה עם פעילויות לפסח ולשעות של הנאה גם בבית(:

הפידבקים שקיבלנו מהמשתתפים היו ממש מרגשים ואנחנו מבינים שענינו על צורך חשוב. ההתאווררות, השיתוף, המפגש עם קבוצת השווים, הפעילות ועצם היציאה מהבית משמעותיים לכל אחד ובמיוחד לאוכלוסייה זו.
אנחנו מתכננים לקיים מפגשים נוספים ולחלק ערכות הפעלה מותאמות אישית גם במהלך השבוע הקרוב.

🎉 A Breath of Fresh Air: For our Reservist Families 💛

Today we held a special respite activity for the families of reservists- in three sessions and in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, close to a protected space. In the midst of all the complexity and uncertainty, we managed to bring smiles to many faces 😊

What did we have today?

🍫 A super sweet chocolate workshop- we made pralines and chocolate figures.
📖 A lovely story time with volunteers from the community.
🦁 Lion-themed crafts- we learned how to draw a lion, made lions from plasticine, and colored drawings- a whole pride of lions!
🧘‍♀️ A workshop for mothers with breathing and relaxation techniques.
💃 We even danced together in the shelter during the sirens- because we keep our morale high no matter what!

And to end on a delicious note:
🍕 All participants received pizzas and Passover activity kits to take home.

🎉 רגע של נשימה והנאה למשפחות המגוייסים 💛

היום קיימנו פעילות הפגה חווייתית למשפחות המגוייסים- בשלושה סבבים ובהתאם להנחיות פיקוד העורף, סמוך למרחב מוגן. בתוך כל המורכבות וחוסר הוודאות, העלנו חיוך על הפנים😊

מה היה לנו היום?
🍫 סדנת שוקולד מתוקה במיוחד- הכנו פרלינים ודמויות שוקולד.
📖 שעת סיפור מקסימה עם מתנדבות מהקהילה.
🦁 יצירות של אריות- למדנו לצייר אריה, להכין אריה מפלסטלינה וצבענו ציורי "עם של אריות".
🧘‍♀️ סדנה לאמהות עם טכניקות נשימה והרגעה.
💃 אפילו רקדנו יחד במקלט בזמן האזעקות- כי אנחנו שומרים על מורל גבוה בכל מצב!

🍕 כל המשתתפים קיבלו פיצות וערכות עם הפעלות לפסח לקחת הביתה.

איפה? בבית הספר אור זבולון (סמוך למרחב המוגן).
❓מה בתוכנית? - סדנת שוקולד 🍫, מתנפחים, פעילות יצירה 🎨, פיצות🍕 ועוד הפתעות! 🤩
למי מיועד? - ילדי גן - כיתה ב’ הלומדים בגני או כיתות תקשורת באריאל.
* כל ילד יכול להגיע עם הורה אחד ואח/ות.

* הפעילות הינה לתושבי אריאל בלבד שיש להם ילדים בגני תקשורת או בכיתות תקשורת א’-ב’.

* שימו 💓: בשל ההנחיות הביטחוניות מספר המשתתפים מוגבל מאוד! ניתן להגיע רק עם הרשמה מראש!

The city of Ariel is home to many families currently on the front lines. Over the past two years, many of these parents have already served hundreds of days in reserve duty.

While they protect our home, their children are the silent heroes remaining behind - facing sirens, uncertainty, and longing. We are here to provide them with a moment of joy. Through Respite Kits and special activities, we remind these families that they are never alone. Your support is a warm embrace for those giving everything for our country.
