Greg is someone both Johanna and I have been training for 4 years now, Johanna works on his flexibility and yoga and I work with him with resistance training every week. Greg is a no nonsense, no bu****itting around stand up guy. He is a extremely high powered CEO of an American company which he is responsible for, and is a 2nd dan black belt in ju jit su with one of the beet associations in the US. Everything he does in life he doesn’t f**k about, he has great levels of responsibility and discipline for every area of his life.
So when it comes to his health he takes it very seriously, and is willing to invest. He is well in his 50’s now and has a physique and skeleton muscle mass at 97lbs ‘great is anyting over 80lbs’, that would literally put guys in their 20’s and 30’s to shame. This is what is possible as we get older when we’re willing to invest into our health and fitness, you can’t bu****it it, you have to do the work.
To make it even more complicated he has pretty serious back and shoulder and neck injuries, which I have to find ways to work around every single session depending on what is going on that day. This is where the art comes in as a body building and corrective exercise expert, to keep to results coming with not exacerbating any of his current injuries, not creating any new ones and working around the current real time limitations.
This is when the real value of guidance professional guidance comes in, because if you were going at it alone you may either hurt yourself even more, not find a way to train effectively to see the results you want, or give up completely due to going backwards and creating even more pain in tbe body, which will only make you deteriorate even more, which will make your life more and more unpleasant.
Sorry to say how these stories go, but as a coach I’m going to do the opposite of sugar coating anything. If you want results in life we have to stop bu****itting ourselves on every level. So this is to any of you guys out there that this may resonate with. The questions I have here is are you approaching 40 years old or over 40 now moving towards 50 and find yourself reminiscing about how fit and good you looked when you were in your youth? How much you loved to play a certain sport?
Are you kind of feeling that life is downhill from here and that makes you sad? What if I told you it’s possible to still be at your best after you’re 40 moving towards 50, does this spike a bit of new life in you? Now of course this might not be possible for everyone, depending on how the starting point looks, but I will stand firm and say this is definitely possible for us men out there.
I have given this alot of thought, reflecting what I have already achieved myself in life, what results I have achieved with clients over the years, and with that what is the best service I can provide as a fitness and wellness professional to the greatest of my ability, that is right in alignment with what I am working towards and trying to achieve myself.
Reflecting on all that the best goal right now being 40 years old, about to turn 41 is that when I hit 50 years old I want to look and feel as if I am 30 year old, and for the next 10 years live a life Mike I’m in my 20’s, hence the 50/30 Club - when you are 50 you are going to look and feel like you are still 30, and in the process you are going to keep having a ball in life.
There are so many practices that will have to be consistently implemented if this is going to be possible, with the lifestyle choices, food that is as much as possible free from chemicals, GMO’s and toxins, training that stimulates greater fitness and strength but doesn’t Annihilate past a point of injury, and many other practices that stimulate recovery and healing to create greater balance in the body and mind, which in the most part will be reflected in better ranges with your hormones, which ultimately will dictate how you look, feel and show up in life.
What I want to do is make this available for as many guys out there as possible that wish to reclaim themselves, or insure they stay their best as they get older and older. This is also for the guys out there that are a lot younger than 40 that already understand that getting started on this path will make this endeavor much more attainable.
I have paved the way already with the 50/30 Club, which I’m on course to achieve this goal when I hit 50. For your 1st month of the program I have created for you I saw a remarkable change in my physique, and in the way I feel. All members of this Club will be able to have this ongoing training program I am personally using right now, including all the practices I am using.
You will all be given a meal plan guidance which will be very achievable without the endless hours of being in the kitchen. Both of these main components of this program change every month, as I change it up myself to stay on course for this goal, it might be still 10 years away but the work needs to be put in right now.
On top of this there will be connection to the 50/30 Club community, so we can all share our journey with our wins, trials and tribulations. I will also be a conducting a virtual group Q&A call every week, where I can help you through any challenges you may be facing, and answer questions you may have which I will do my best to answer and guide you through this.
