A sweet memory of Connie Francis posting photos of Bobby Rydell and she getting lifetime achievement awards from the East Coast Music Hall of Fame

It was with sadness that I learned of the passing of Bobby Rydell. He and I went back many decades, both of us starting out on junior TV shows — me in New Jersey and Bobby in Philadelphia. He was an integral part of what, for many, remains their favorite musical period — that of the years bridging the rock and roll era and the British "invasion" of the Sixties — and his many recordings will continue to give pleasure for generations to come.
Here I am with Bobby in 2018; with Bobby and Lou Christie at the East Coast Music Hall of Fame where we were presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards in 2019 and, in this wonderful painting by dear friend Yaacov Heller, Bobby is with Fabian and Frankie Avalon accompanying me at the Copacabana!
