Engineering Solutions recently completed structural engineering services for a residential re-roof compliance project on Spanish River Blvd in Boca Raton, FL.

Our scope included full project coordination, on-site drone assessment with flight planning, airspace clearance, and photo documentation, culminating in a drafted, signed, and sealed letter of compliance for the property's re-roof submission.

Project Spotlight: Porsche West Palm Beach Renovation 🚧🏎️

Engineering Solutions is excited to be part of the renovation at Porsche West Palm Beach, where our team is providing structural engineering services to support interior improvements, including the design of a new elevated mezzanine and connecting walkway within the existing showroom space.

The project began with a detailed feasibility study, including site visits, an in-depth review of existing documentation, and structural analysis comparing the proposed system to the building’s existing as-built conditions. From there, our team developed schematic design drawings outlining the required structural reinforcement and the addition of new structural members to safely support the proposed improvements.

Following the feasibility phase, Engineering Solutions advanced the project into Phase II structural construction documents, preparing permit-ready plans including structural notes, framing plans, foundation information, and detailed reinforcement and connection details. All work was designed in accordance with the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition (2023) to support safe construction and a successful renovation.

We’re proud to collaborate with the project team to help bring thoughtful improvements to this iconic automotive showroom while ensuring the structure performs safely and reliably for years to come.

Engineering Solutions is providing structural engineering services for The Nice Guy Miami restaurant project in Miami Beach, supporting the safe renovation of the building while preserving the existing façade. 🏗️🌴

For this project, our team developed a custom temporary shoring system that is currently supporting the existing CMU and concrete façade during the ongoing demolition and reconstruction of the building’s interior, roof, and foundation. Due to tight site constraints along the Lincoln Road pedestrian corridor, where construction activities are subject to strict access and working hour restrictions, the shoring system was carefully designed to minimize disruption while maintaining structural stability.

The design incorporates multiple shoring strategies, including wood kicker shoring, scaffold systems with metal bracing, and steel column façade shoring, to safely stabilize the structure throughout the construction process.

We provided an as-built structural assessment, permit-ready shoring drawings, structural calculations, and ongoing coordination with the construction team to help ensure the work proceeds safely and efficiently as the project advances. All designs were developed in accordance with the Florida Building Code 8th Edition (2023).
