📢 PSA: You don’t need perfect marketing to attract new clients

Literally none of my new clients followed the “standard marketing process”

There were no likes or comments on my posts. No signing up for my email list. No DMs or questions.

They just saw some videos, found my booking link and dropped consults on my calendar.

And even as someone with nearly 15 years of marketing experience, it still blows my mind.

Because I’m so by the book and get hard on myself when I’m not doing “what I’m supposed to do.”

But here’s your reminder: We have no real control in HOW our clients find us.

We just have control about IF we’re showing up and how we’re showing up.

So remember to keep putting in the reps, don’t get caught up on the vanity metrics, and try to have fun along the way!

You don’t need everyone’s eyes and ears. You just need your people’s 🤍

1,000 new followers a month sounds like the win, but it’s actually the byproduct.

What’s really driving that growth is that we’re building belonging. Not an audience.

We’re connecting wiht people who see themselves in the content, believe in the mission, and want to be part of what’s being built.

*That* is what turns a following into customers. And customers into fans too excited to share what you’re up to with their friends.

Nothing was going to plan when I sat down to record today.

And I nearly gave up for the day to wait for a “better time.”

But my morning had already shown me pretty clearly that if I kept waiting for the perfect moment, I’d be waiting forever.

So I did it anyway. Imperfect setup, imperfect headspace, the whole 9 yards.

And here’s the counterintuitive part: showing up as a real human who understands exactly what your clients are thinking and feeling builds likeability and trust faster than the perfectly polished version of you ever will.
