For the 14th straight year, Americans surveyed by Gallup have named real estate their top choice for the best long-term investment.

The margin is significant:

Real estate: 38%

Stocks and mutual funds: 20% — an 18-point difference

Gold: 18% — a 20-point difference

Savings accounts and CDs: 12% — a 26-point difference

Bonds: 4% — a 34-point difference

Cryptocurrency: 2% — a 36-point difference

Think about what that tells us.

Despite higher mortgage rates, affordability challenges, economic uncertainty, market fluctuations, and an endless stream of negative headlines, Americans still believe in the long-term value of real estate.
