From a young age, I’ve always been captivated by the wonders of medical books and biological concepts. This early fascination set me on a path of lifelong learning and exploration. Losing a parent at a young age truly impacts your entire scope of life .
I lost my mother to cancer when I was 20 years old . She was my rock my first love and empowered every part of my being .
As a toddler people joked that they forgot to cut the umbilical cord as I would refuse to leave her side .
As a toddler I had a speech impediment and as the rest of the world had no clue what I was saying , she understood every word that came out of my mouth .
She inspired me to be strong , make wise decisions , and the art of perseverance.
I am who I am today because of the time ,energy and most importantly the unconditional love she provided.
I know she is around me everyday, I feel it !
Sadly my sons never got to meet their Grandmother . I have always make it a point to talk about her so they could feel the connection and the love she would have shared with them .
The day I lost her was life changing . It made me angry and question “ How could the world be so cruel?” Was there even a g-d?
To this day 30+ years later I still grieve the loss of my beautiful , funny , and incredibly intelligent mother .
