The Haitian flag isn't just a symbol of freedom, but one of unity and persistence. Through the face of tragedy, our flag stands high and proud. 💪🏾❤️

First sewed by the god-daughter of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Catherine Flon. The blue in our flag is said to represent the Haitians of African descent and the red for Gens de couleur (people of color). 219 years later we continue to wave our flags with high pride and today is no different.
