We are proud to highlight Silva Avedis as one of our featured speakers at the ARS Eastern USA Regional Seminar, taking place June 5–7 at Camp Haiastan under the theme “Empowered Chapters, Enduring Communities.”

Silva Avedis brings more than three decades of experience guiding individuals and families through life’s most complex transitions. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, and raised in the United States from a young age, she has remained deeply connected to her Armenian roots and community. With academic foundations in psychology, social rehabilitation, and gerontology, including studies at Assumption University and Columbia University, Silva has built a distinguished career as a Certified Social Worker and Certified Geriatric Care Manager.

Her professional journey spans hospital discharge planning, psychiatric rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and comprehensive geriatric care. As the founder of Senior Quest, Inc., she has dedicated her work to supporting families navigating the emotional, physical, and cognitive challenges of aging. A long-standing member of the ARS and other professional organizations, Silva approaches her work with both expertise and compassion.

In her presentation, Silva will first highlight the importance of maintaining meaningful connections with ARS senior members, and then turn to the realities facing today’s “sandwich generation,” offering practical insight into preparing for and managing the responsibilities that come with supporting aging loved ones.
