Dave Moss played college hockey at the University of Michigan. Then he spent twelve years in the NHL with the Calgary Flames and Phoenix Coyotes. When his playing career ended, he had to figure out life on the other side of the game.

He tried sales. It wasn't the right fit. So he and his wife got into franchising — and built a portfolio that now includes multiple Drybar and PureGlow locations. Today, Dave also runs Next Path Franchising, where he helps athletes and others explore franchise ownership as a next step.

In this episode, Dave talks about the value of networking while you're still playing, why the transition out of pro sports is harder than most expect, and why former athletes are more equipped for entrepreneurship than they realize.

You cannot control when it ends.

What you can control is your curiosity.
Your effort.
Your willingness to ask questions and keep learning.

That mindset took Jack from Notre Dame to the MLS — and eventually to building Cool Factor Cryo, a mobile recovery business now expanding through franchising.
