Regional UTC Student Spotlight - Virtual Conference for the Southeastern Region

The new mobility ecosystem is rapidly expanding while facing a multitude of challenges with local, regional, and global impacts. Moving people and goods in an efficient way is imperative for the growth of any economy. Research and investment in new technologies, infrastructure, and modes of transport around the nation is advancing rapidly. Many stakeholders and decision makers have been adapting to new technologies. Although the transportation infrastructure and management are currently going through many unprecedented challenges, they have been responding well.

This half day conference/ symposium will provide an opportunity for students in the southeastern region to present recent research.

May was an eventful month for the FMRI. We had our Advisory Board Meeting at the University of Memphis, a consortium partner. In addition to reviewing important information relating to our research and educational endeavors, the Advisory Board and Consortium went on multiple tours to FedEx World Hub, BNSF Intermodal Freight Yard, and the International Port of Memphis.

Victor Walker and Dr. Amy Moore will be presenting, "The Next Delivery to your Door: Looking at the Future Energy Impacts of Innovative Freight Delivery Technologies" on March 13th at 11:00 am at FAU Boca Raton campus.
