The series follows monster hunter Erica Slaughter, who can see monsters that adults can't. As Something Is Killing the Children kicks off, she heads to Archer's Peak, Wisconsin, where frightening creatures are devouring the small town's children. The comics have sold over five million copies globally and won multiple Eisner Awards since launch. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Blumhouse picked up the rights to Something Is Killing the Children after a bidding war that also involved companies like Lionsgate and Netflix. Netflix was originally slated to adapt the series for TV, with The Haunting of Hill House's Mike Flanagan and Tracy Major attached. After they stepped away, Dark showrunners Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese were set to develop the series. However, Netflix passed on the project in late 2024.Blumhouse plans to adapt Something Is Killing the Children into a live-action feature film and an adult animated series. Tynion will direct the TV series, and artist Dell'Edera will co-executive produce. With Something Is Killing the Children, Blumhouse looks to continue its hot streak of horror adaptations. Its 2021 adaptation of Joe Hill's 2004 short story The Black Phone was a box office success, while its adaptation of the smash video game Five Nights at Freddy's became its highest-grossing movie yet.

Seth Meyers takes A Closer Look at Trumps White House ballroom project Seth Meyers took "A Closer Look" at the contrast between voter concerns over rising costs in the 2024 election and Donald Trump's $250 million new ballroom a year later.Meyers began his deep dive segment on Thursday with a look at how inflation was top of mind for voters last year. The Late Night host then contrasted this with a look at the impact of Trump's tariffs on the price of groceries, as well as the president's expensive and controversial 90,000 square foot ballroom. Demolition of parts of the White House's East Wing, built in 1902, began on Monday. By Thursday, workers had completely pulled it down — all despite Trump's promise in July that his new ballroom "won't interfere with the current building...It'll be near it but not touching it.""So he basically promised to treat it like his marriage," said Meyers, with a trumpeted womp-womp on cue.

Meyers also spoke on Trump's statement to reporters that knocking down the East Wing was decided "after really a tremendous amount of study with some of the best architects in the world.""Oh yeah, who was the architect you talked to, Godzilla?" said Meyers."This couldn't be any more of a bait and switch," the host concluded. "Trump got elected by claiming he was going to make life more affordable for hard-working Americans, and now he's demolishing the White House to build himself a gilded vanity project. If you voted for Trump thinking he'd bring down your grocery bills, tough luck."

Everyone has their eyes on Mega Evolution and Phantasmal Flames, but I'm focusing on Black Bolt and White Flare right now, which has an Illustration Rare or Secret Illustration Rare for every Unovan Pokémon split over two sets. If that doesn't sell this deal for you, I don't know what will.If you're just after booster packs, this works out at $10 per booster plus a cool binder to pop your pulls in. So if you need a spare binder, this is perfect. It's not a hard shell binder though, so I wouldn't be putting your $900 Rayquaza VMAX in this bad boy.

Where to buy Pokémon cards in 2025 — avoid overpaying or missing out on new sets
Black Bolt and White Fare did a couple of firsts for Scarlet and Violet. One is the dual format, splitting the massive set into two parts. The other is introducing Black White Rares, that look similar to gold rares but use one primary color and shades to make up the artwork. Unlike the gold rares of old, these are some of the most valuable cards in the Scarlet and Violet era. Most valuable Black Bolt and White Flare Pokémon cards

As you might have guessed by now, having an Illustration Rare or Secret Illustration Rare variant for every common and uncommon Pokémon card makes it harder than usual to pull top chase cards. The current market values reflect this, but it's probably going to work out a lot cheaper just to buy the Pokémon card you're after instead of pouring money over Black Bolt and White Flare sealed product:Victini – 171/086 – SV: Black Bolt
