So many of us can relate 😞

My mom passed away from cancer. I know so many people can relate to the pain this sickness brings, not just to the person but to everyone who loves them. It is truly heartbreaking. I’m not here to blame or oversimplify, but what frustrates me is how often we pretend cancer is random while we ignore the toxins we’ve normalized and put in our body every single day. It’s not right to say “F cancer” and then use skincare products filled with endocrine disruptors, drink alcohol pretending it does no harm, eat ultra-processed foods daily, live a sedentary life centered around screens and wonder why our health deteriorates at 40. We can mourn to those we’ve lost and still do better with what we feed and expose our bodies to. We can honor them by refusing to keep pretending cancer has nothing to do with lifestyle. This doesn’t mean living in fear or never having dessert ever again…. It means being aware of what can help us live healthier and happier lives and increase the chances of preventing diseases and illnesses like this each day through the way that we live. You’re allowed to change your life before something breaks.
