The human body is subject to "wear and tear" like any other "machine" with lots of moving parts. Spinal degeneration is rather inevitable as a result activities of daily living, big and little injuries along the way, genetic predisposition and the fact that our world isn't custom made for us. We are always trying to adapt to stress. This is a very good video that explains, through animation and plain English, how the spine works, how and why it wears down, and the role of Chiropractic in slowing the process. Learn, enjoy, and call me...we call help!
VIDEO: Preventing Spinal Degeneration Chiropractic is an effective way to prevent spinal degeneration. Keep your spine healthy and flexible to reduce your risk of future pain and disability. .

We help so many seniors in our practice. You do NOT have to live with pain and simply write it off as "getting older". The video also mentions proper diet and exercise (I am Board Certified to advise you on both!).
Please call our office--if we believe we can help, we'll say so; if not, we'll tell you that too!
VIDEO: Chiropractic Care for Seniors With aging comes a new set of common aches and pains. Unfortunately, research shows that older adults are less likely to seek treatment for pain than younger adults.

The following video is one of a series I'll be posting/sharing created by my nephew, Dr. Daniel Perman, a Board-certified Chiropractic Neurologist practicing in California. I love the way he makes complex material understandable for the general public.
Migraine EXPLAINED | Intro to Migraine Rehab | Virtual Brain Rehab by Perman Chiropractic Neurology What really is migraine? How do migraines occur? What are the different types of migraines? Why do some migraine treatments help others, but not you? Can mig...

The title of this video is provocative because in the real world, the title can either be taken at face value or one could say that it is dependent on the individual patient and their specific situation.
We see many patients with disc herniation(s), and they are trying to avoid surgery, if possible, and be managed as non-invasively as possible. Because lumbar disc herniation is a condition treated
by both chiropractic physicians and medical physicians, using significantly different approaches (structural/natural vs. drugs/surgery), it makes sense to exhaust conservative procedures before resorting to more dangerous ones.
That said, the statistics quoted in the video are significant, and we have helped SO many patients with disc herniations! And, as a responsible chiropractic physician, I have a greater willingness to refer patients for medical management if our methods aren't fixing the problem, far more often than an M.D. resorts to a referral to a
chiropractor. Safer, non-drug chiropractic care has helped avoid countless surgeries. And, epidural steroid injections are certainly not without risk. Call us. If we can help, we'll say so; if not we'll say that too.

VIDEO: Chiropractic Better than Epidural Injections for Back Pain Epidural spinal injections are often used for back pain, but research shows that chiropractic works better...and carries none of the risks of this invasive procedure. . .

Radicular (or nerve root) pain has always been a situation where chiropractic care gets great results. Often, radicular pain is diagnosed on MRI where we can clearly see where the nerve root is being irritated or compressed.
The clinical presentation (symptoms) also help determine the exact level of root irritation, especially with radiating pain into the arm, hand, thigh, leg or foot.
If you think you may have radicular pain, call our office today-- we can help!
VIDEO: Chiropractic for Radicular Pain Radicular pain, or "radiating pain", is caused by the interference or pinching of the spinal nerves. This results in pain, tingling, or numbness in parts of your body that are far from the source of the problem.
