Create your vision

One of the tools I suggest in pursuing Intentional Living is a vision board. A vision board is a collage of pictures and statements that serve as a magnet; a magnet that motivates us toward our purpose.

Vision boards open us up to feeling the strength of our intentions, and seeing all the possibilities around us that align with our intentions. Vision boards manifest energy we need as we face both internal and external resistance to our purpose.

I have a vision board hanging up in my office. I created it when I made my decision to start Intentional Living. Meditating on it helps me stay focused and driven as I lead my Intentional Life!

Are you making a difference?

"The purpose of life is not to be happy, it is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."

This amazing quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson describes our purpose very well. Intentional living, is living our lives with conscious purpose, laser focus and consistent aligned action; the result being, a powerful impact and difference in the world.

The world has many needs, and no need is too small. We all can make a difference in our unique ways. If you are not clear with your unique way, here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Recall a powerful moment, what were you doing?
- What are your strengths/gifts?
- What are you most passionate about?

It is an amazing feeling when we serve and lie our head to rest at night knowing we made a difference.

Do you remember when you were a child the adventures you created? When you were in the moment with full focus and purpose? When you were totally immersed in the activity at hand? When there were no obstacles in the way?

You may have a hard time recalling some of these times but just know they were there. As children we were purposeful and active. Intentional Living is about recapturing that childhood purpose, creativity and focus.

It's not about abandoning adult responsibility. It's about making sure that we are having fun with whatever our intention is. Having fun keeps us energized and moving. It gives us resolve to make it through the more challenging times. So make sure to have some fun today!
