Cervical epidural steroid injection is a treatment option for neck pain.
Our pain management physician and orthopedic surgeon perform this treatment under guidance of an imaging machine called a C-arm.
The procedure involves injecting a local anesthetic and steroid into the epidural space surrounding the spinal cords and nerve roots to reduce inflammation. The goal is to decrease pain and increase mobility and function so you can return to everyday activities!

Here, π₯π‘ππ©ππ‘ππ©-π§πππ π₯π‘ππ¨π’π (PRP) is used to help decrease pain and inflammation, as well as improve function in those suffering from musculoskeletal conditions. Some of these conditions include injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.
PRP is a non-surgical regenerative therapy that uses a high concentration of platelets and plasma to promote regeneration and self-healing of musculoskeletal injuries. It is a therapy that speeds up the healing process so that you can quickly return to normal activity and exercise.
Platelets contain various growth factors that direct the body in how to heal the injury. Simultaneously, stem cells are signaled to the area to help repair and heal the damaged tissue, fast.
It is a natural and safer alternative to a corticosteroid injection. Your own blood is drawn and spun down in a centrifuge to separate the the different components. The liquid gold or platelet-rich portion is collected for the injection. Using ultrasound guidance we are able to visualize the exact site of injury. Once we see our target the area is cleansed with an antiseptic and then anesthetized with a local and/or topical anesthetic. The platelet-rich portion of your blood is injected into the injury using ultrasound guidance and the natural healing process begins.
