The 8th Street Improvement Project is a community-focused effort to make the area between Main and Bannock Streets in downtown Boise safer, more vibrant, and accessible for everyone. Construction for the 8th Streets improvements started in May to allow for geothermal upgrades. Geothermal water is used to heat buildings in the colder months and can only be replaced when that utility is not in use.
