"Saying 'yes' to human rights is the best way to say 'no' to prejudice." - Bill Wassmuth
Isaac Castellano, a clinical associate professor in Boise State School of Public Service and associate director of the Institute for Advancing American Values, and Anthony Ellertson, clinical professor and founding director of the College Arts and Sciences’ Games, Interactive Media and Mobile technology program, in partnership with the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights, secured a Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention grant from the Department of Homeland Security to create digital teaching tools for human rights education in Idaho classrooms.
Underserved rural communities, in particular, will greatly benefit from the project as the technology can be easily deployed at no cost to teachers or home-schooled students.
