It’s the new year and I’m reminded of the “sunk cost fallacy”. Essentially, it recognizes a human tendency to continue with something, even if it’s not in your best future interest because of everything you’ve already invested; be-it time, energy, or money. The fallacy is that you’ll never get that time, energy, or money back - regardless of whether or not you keep the status quo because you don’t want to “lose” what you’ve already invested. What do you really want? Are you happy with the current results? What’s really in your best interest?
