What can we do to mitigate rising rates? Insurance rates are up and it sucks for everyone. Collectively, we can make a difference and help bring premiums back down by: Focusing on driving and that task alone while driving. Respecting fellow motorists. Abiding by speed limits. Following the 3-second rule (at a minimum). Heck. Go crazy and make it 5, 8 or 10 seconds! Adjusting speed and following distance to reasonable and prudent levels based on weather, traffic and road conditions. If we choose to do the right thing and be the right example, others will follow...that'll certainly make the real jerks stand out and maybe, just maybe...you get to calmly and freely drive past, while they're pulled over by a cop on the side of the road.😁

Yesterday morning just west of Soda Springs one of our snowplows was rear-ended by a vehicle on US-30. This is the twelfth snowplow strike of the season. Thankfully there were no injuries, but our plow did receive some damage to the sander.

Conditions over the last several days have been challenging and our crews have been working continually to keep the roads clear.

Please take the time to check in with your friends, family, and loved ones before they head out on the roads and remind them to slow down and drive for conditions. It may be March, but winter isn't over yet.
