Today, I was proud to sign a bill honoring Staff Sergeant Raymond G. Tourville — a Marine, a leader, a devoted father, and a proud son of Sandwich — by dedicating a veterans memorial overpass in his name.

Ray lived a life of service and gave so much to his fellow Marines, veterans, family, and community. Though his life was far too short, his legacy will endure in the people who loved him, the Marines who served beside him, and this permanent place of honor in the town he called home.

May we never forget his service and sacrifice. Grateful to Representative Xiarhos and Senator Fernandes for sponsoring this legislation, and the entire Legislature for sending it to my desk.
