On this date 32yrs ago I went to Circuit City in Va Beach, Va and made a purchase that ended up changing my life in ways I never imagined!
I bought my 2nd Technics 1200 turntable! I remember it vividly, I remember driving to Dj’s Records and Tapes to see Ross Wilson and show him my latest purchase. He gave me 2 copies of “Temptation” by Corina, told me to practice mixing these records back and forth, I recorded it and he critiqued me.
The guidance Ross gave me, and taught me how to play music the “right way”, has lead to an amazing dj career!
Dj’ing has taken me places I never dreamed I could go, I’ve worked for radio stations, had opportunities to play music in cities all over the world, I’ve performed on stages, in arenas, met some amazing artists, and I could go on!
32yrs of playing music for people and the passion is still as strong as it was in 1992!

To all those that booked/ hired me over the years to provide entertainment and music in your bars, clubs, parties, arenas, weddings and on the airwaves! A huge thank you!! Your support is more than noticed and appreciated!! ❤️🙏🏽

For all my younger dj’s (which is most of them… Lol), one thing I want you to take from this journey…

Be passionate about your craft, don’t let anyone tell you “no”, stay persistent, and love this job, you never know where it’s going to take you!!

Fatman Scoop Dead At 53 After Onstage Collapse, According To Tour Manager Isaac Freeman III, aka Fatman Scoop, has died after the iconic musician collapsed onstage Friday night.

Seems like every club/ bar in Boston was packed last night!
