This is what you get with a 93% super majority - procrastination and incompetence. Didn’t release the tax cut package and couldn’t even get revenge p**n criminalized. Regardless of the party - absolute power is not good for democracy. These things aren’t hard - and they had two years to do it but once again “ran out of time”! This is why we need balance on Beacon Hill - so we can force things onto the floor and voted on. This shouldn’t be this hard.

I’ve always said- if I am hated hated by the crazies and extremists on the right and the left - then I’m right where I want to be.

For the record - this person is a grifter, running for office for donations and the notoriety that she hopes to monetize, has never held any office, or accomplished much of anything except getting in fights and pandering to the nut jobs. I’m so disappointed that a person who literally has no experience and no knowledge of what the Secretary of State actually does is my party’s nominee.

But now let’s take apart her nonsensical post.

1- I stand with Anti-American Democrats:

While Congressman Auchincloss and I don’t always agree on the issues- I will always proudly stand with a combat Marine infantry officer. He led a platoon that went village to village fighting the taliban in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. After that he led a recon platoon fighting the drug trade in Central America. This is duty he volunteered for - he stepped up and did this in service to our nation- taking an oath and putting his life on the line in order to protect our freedoms.

Granted it isn’t quite the same as wearing cowboy boots and an American flag cowboy hat to political events around Massachusetts- but I’ll stand with Jake every time over trash.

Next, Veterans Day is in November - this is Memorial Day. She is so clueless that she doesn’t know the difference. Memorial Day is the day we honor those who died in defense of our country. To try to make a political hit piece of anyone for standing up and honoring those men and women is disgusting and tells you everything you need to know about this person.

3rd: I surrendered a strong Republican seat to a communist without a fight:

As we dig deeper into the mind of a lunatic - I suppose you lose all grasp on reality. This person is so clueless that she doesn’t know I am a current State Rep that has been elected to this seat 5 times. And I’m running against the farthest left liberal senator in the state senate in order to bring more balance back to the Massachusetts legislature. So not even sure if she is trying to say that by running for Senate I am surrendering my seat to a communist - but I’m pretty sure Marcus Vaughn who will hopefully win this seat (or even Steve Teehan the democrat running) is not a communist.

4th: tanking the Chris Doughty campaign:

Hmmmmm, the power brokers of the far right did everything they could to rig the convention to keep Chris off the ballot and we ended up getting double the amount needed -30% blowing away all projections. So, if that is what she considers tanking- just wait to September when Chris wins the primary!

And finally 5- blocking her:

To misquote Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men: “Yes, you are ___ damn right I blocked her!” And for the record, I do block all hateful extremists who try and troll my page regardless of party- although I’m sad to say more of whom claim to be in my party as of late. I actually hate the fact that I am even discussing this person but I thought it was worthwhile for you to know who I will never stand with just as much as who I support.

And if you are the POS who follows my page that decided to screen shot this and send it to her - you are just as much a piece of garbage as she is. I will tell you one thing- neither one of you have any honor and to call a combat veteran at a Memorial Day celebration anti-American truly defines who you are as a human and you should be ashamed.

And that ladies and gentlemen is the last time I discuss the Republican Secretary of the Commonwealth nominee. I will not donate to her, I will do my best to never even be in a room that she is in, and I will certainly not vote for her and instead I will write in a qualified and intelligent Republican (tbd) for this position. And I will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

National Police Week runs from May 11th-17th, and this year it returns to an “in-person” format. Week long ceremonies will honor the lives and service of the 619 law enforcement officers whose names will be enshrined on the wall in Washington, DC. this year, with 472 of those deaths occurring in 2021.

Please remember the fallen and their families and friends who mourn them still. Police work is a dangerous job and the women and men behind the badge deserve our respect and appreciation.

WRENTHAM - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be conducting overnight bridge joint repair operations on I-495 northbound in Wrentham. The work will be conducted on Wednesday, May 4, and Thursday, May 5, during overnight hours from 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning. All work is anticipated to be completed by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6.

The work will require that the ramp from Route 1A to I-495 northbound be temporarily closed to allow crews to safely and efficiently complete the repairs.

A detour will be in place as follows:
Exit from Route 1A to I-495 northbound (Wrentham)
Take ramp to I-495 southbound
Take exit 36A to Route 1 northbound
Take ramp from Route 1 northbound to I-495 northbound

The average price of gas is costing over $4 per gallon in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, there is no end in sight for these growing prices.

That’s why I am calling for a temporary suspension of the gas tax until this crisis is over. This action would provide an instant savings to our families trying to make ends meet.

Additionally, I will support a change to policy that will trigger a suspension of the gas tax whenever gas reaches $4 per gallon.

As your next Governor, I am committed to making Massachusetts affordable especially when it comes to energy. This gas tax relief is just one small step we can take to help people.
