Maybe she’s a Collie mix. Maybe she’s a Shepherd mix. Maybe both. Truth is… we have no clue.

What we do know? Meet her once, and you’ll be wondering how you ever lived without her.

Izzie is about 5 months old and around 30 pounds. She came to us from a shelter in Mississippi and has the kind of personality that makes everyone smile. She loves other dogs, loves cats, is always up for an adventure, and has never met a toy she didn’t like.

111!!! 😭

We got another 10 Lamb Chops today, bringing our grand total to 111!

A huge thank you to Chewy for the surprise box. Every single one of these lambs is going to help comfort a rescue dog on one of the biggest days of their life. ❤️

As promised, every lamb count comes with another dog to introduce…

Meet Josie. ❤️

Josie’s story didn’t start out the way any dog deserves. She wasn’t responsibly surrendered. She was abandoned after hours outside Lauderdale County Animal Shelter in a crate and left there overnight. Thankfully, security cameras caught what happened, and from what we understand, the case is being investigated.

The sad part of her story isn’t what I want people to remember though. I want people to remember the people who stepped up.

Rocky and his team at Lauderdale County Animal Shelter got her to safety, and Harper opened her home to a dog that was completely shut down. Harper believes Josie had probably never even been inside a house before. She had to carry her inside, and at first the only thing Josie would eat was human food- lots of chicken tendies in those beginning days.

A few weeks later… look at her.

Rolling in the grass. Smiling. Learning that people can actually be kind.

She’ll be starting heartworm treatment soon, and once she’s healthy enough, she’ll be making her way to Massachusetts. We are so honored that Big Wave gets to be part of her journey and help find her the family she always deserved. And yes… this girl deserves to be spoiled rotten.

We are incredibly grateful to have Harper, Rocky, Lauderdale County Animal Shelter, and Roadside Rescue Network as partners. They save lives every single day, and we couldn’t be more honored to work alongside people who care this deeply about animals.
