This couch could tell stories… here’s another for its little black book, told by :

“Last Thursday night, at the construction site, I hosted a group of the special people that have made the return of Eastern Standard possible. As we were preparing their arrival, a friend who works for the Red Sox texted me that, along with a pile of broken chairs and tables, a couch that looked similar to Eastern Standard’s iconic red couch was on Lansdowne St out front of Game On.

What are the chances a friend would make that connection? Slim

What are the chances Game On would be doing a spring cleaning on a random Thursday evening while I just happened to be around the corner? Very slim

What are the chances the shrewd money managers at the Blue Ribbon Group would sell a highly used couch to the Lyons Group for 125$? Turns out pretty good actually, the Game On manager let me know.

And the chances I would let the junk removal truck take a couch that for 15 years bore witness to thousands of amazing regulars eating and drinking under the care of the best hospitality team in Boston?
