Anime Boston 2024 writeup time! 

This was my first time competing in the masquerade, my main goals were to finish Fei Yen / Mecha Miku in time, and to not rip or sh-t my pants on stage! [I did get a little stuck on the stairs backstage but more on that later]
My pants remained in tact, and as a bonus I was lucky enough to place 2nd in Novice craftsmanship! 

Leading up to the event, I was absurdly nervous and even considered dropping out. Thankfully, I was able to hang out with, and meet some amazing cosplayers who convinced me otherwise. A big shoutout to my friends who would yell “That’s too damn bad!” at me anytime I got squirrelly, and who took their time to es**rt me and my giant goofy banana twintails around safely on Saturday. I would not have survived without you. 🖤

Biggest shoutout of all to my wonderful partner/handler/hype man/emotional support Goth Guy for two and a half years of constant support and encouragement while I crafted this absolute Mecha monstrosity.

Everyone did such an amazing job, and everyone was so so so kind and excited to be there. The energy was unreal, and I can’t wait to participate again someday! Everyone’s already got me fired up about starting another big armor build. [ I have learned nothing! xP ] I wish I got photos with everyone, Miku was a foam prison and I wasn’t able to waddle over and gush with the other cosplayers as much as I would’ve liked.

AB 2024 was a bit chaotic and went by far too fast! I did not get a whole lot of photos or video unfortunately. =[
