I taught in quite a few schools before settling in for 8 years at my last school. I never worked alongside such amazing educators, and friends who became like family, and who actually made going to work fun! I so miss those days, I miss them, the endless laughs had in the teachers room, the inside jokes, them popping their heads in my classroom hysterically laughing because of a hilarious conversation they’d overheard me having with a kindergartener as they passed by my door. I miss my classroom, I miss my students.

Since stepping back from teaching last September, there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by where I haven’t thought about my teacher friends and the challenges they’ve been up against....and all the while keeping positive, giving their all and smiling for their students, even if under a mask. So while I think of them so often, I’m thinking of them even more so this week! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to them and to all the teachers out there. You are real-life super heroes and deserve to be celebrated, not just this week, but every day 🍎❤️
