Market Update:
Stocks rose on Friday with the help from better-than-expected housing data. New U.S. homes rose 6.4% to an annualized 423,000 in April, up from 407,000 in March. The Dow rose 0.38% the Nasdaq was up 0.76% and the S&P 500 closed above 1900 for the first time. Collingwood wishes everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. Remember the U.S. financial markets will be closed on Monday.

Market Update:
Equities rose on Monday morning following a decline last week, driven by gains in tech and small-cap stocks. So far in this first-quarter earnings season, about 76% of the reporting companies have beaten estimates and 53% have beaten sales forecasts. We hope everyone has a great day.

U.S. stock futures are struggling for direction this morning before a second day of congressional testimony by Fed Chair Janet Yellen, and ahead of a possible pullback in jobless claims this week. Also ahead of the open, Asian stocks gained following better-than-expected trade data coming out of China. We hope everyone has a great day.
