Finegold Alexander Architects

In Boston's South End, a restoration and adaptation of two historic buildings make up The Royal residences. From the original 19th century headquarters of the Royal Arcanum and the 1855 brick row house, Finegold Alexander created a 12-unit residence with one- to three-bedrooms and a six-car parking garage. The gut renovation also included energy efficient windows, blown-in insulation, and high velocity HVAC systems that matched the historical nature of the building with sustainability in mind.
