It was an exciting week for Linear Air (https://www.linearair.com) and our CEO, Bill H**p, who received a well-deserved Innovation Award.

As a serial entrepreneur, digital founder, and aviation enthusiast, Bill founded Linear Air decades ago to provide a faster and more convenient option for business travel. At the time, fractional jet ownership programs were available but did not make sense for most. Jet cards were a relatively new concept, and very few programs were available. Private charter brokers and operators were probably the most accessible method of flying private, but coordinating flights, payments, etc., required significant time and effort.

Bill's innovation at Linear Air redefined private aviation:

- It eliminated the need to work through charter brokers
- Bypassed the need to vet private commercial operators
- Simplified purchase and payment processes
- Modernized private aviation by making booking available on the web
- Brought standard features of public airlines to private aviation

From that point forward, Linear Air opened the door for anyone to book a private flight. And the innovation didn't stop there.
