Owens, who is works to promote the scientific value of crowd-sourced data through Firefly Watch, a citizen science program that inspires people to take greater notice of the biodiversity enriching our nocturnal landscapes.

Firefly Watch Citizen Science Project Firefly Watch combines an annual summer evening ritual with scientific research. Join a network of volunteers by observing your own backyard, and help scientists map fireflies found in New England and beyond.
