Flying Kites
We partner with teachers in Kenya to transform schools into places that all students, especially girls, can thrive.

At Flying Kites, we believe every girl deserves the chance to learn, lead, and thrive.
Through our school-based Girls United Clubs, led by trained female teachers, we equip girls with knowledge, skills, and support around health, well-being, and leadership. These spaces help girls build confidence, speak up in class, stay in school, and grow into leaders in their communities.
But this work only happens with a strong, steady community behind it.
That’s why we created Roots, our Monthly Giving Program.
When you join with a monthly gift of $25, you’re not just making a donation — you’re helping ensure more girls have the resources and support they need to shape their own futures.
Join Roots this month and receive a jar of farm-fresh honey, harvested from the Flying Kites Academy farm in Kenya — a sweet reminder of the impact you’re helping grow!

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet Beatrice Henu, Programs Coordinator 🌟
Beatrice plays a key role behind the scenes at Flying Kites, ensuring that programs run smoothly and efficiently. As a Programs Coordinator, she supports the planning and coordination of program activities, manages logistics, works closely with multiple teams and partners, and helps ensure all programs are implemented in alignment with organizational goals.
What motivates Beatrice every day is knowing that her work brings clarity and structure — reducing confusion, improving coordination, and creating a strong foundation that allows others to do their work well. She takes pride in knowing that, in many ways, her role indirectly helps create safe, supportive spaces for girls in our partner schools.
Beatrice hopes that the children we serve gain confidence, opportunity, and access to quality education that empowers them to shape their own futures. For the wider community, she hopes for sustainable systems that continue supporting learning and growth long after individual programs end.

Njeri’s Story ✨
At Flying Kites Network School, Kanamba Primary, a young girl named Njeri* was quietly struggling. She was missing school often, dealing with challenges at home, and feeling isolated and discouraged.
This year, thanks to your support, we expanded our Girls United Clubs to Kanamba. Njeri now has access to Girls United, where she has found something she hadn’t had before: a safe space and a trusted mentor who helped her rebuild her confidence and resilience. Over time, she has grown into a leader amongst her peers, elected school president, and secured admission to a strong secondary school.
“I never believed I could lead or dream so big. Now I know I can achieve anything I set my mind to.”
With support for Girls United, girls like Njeri aren’t just staying in school — they’re stepping up, speaking out, and rising to lead.
Visit www.flyingkites.org/donate to help us expand Girls United to more girls like Njeri.
