5 visitors from India and their liaison recently visited Boston as one of their many stops across the United States for a project focused on “Driving Mutually Beneficial U.S.-India Collaboration on AI.”
The group first met with Ann LaFrance to discuss approaches to AI governance and how the resulting policies differ between countries. They then met with Magda Garncarz from the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) and Sanjay Aggarwal, a former WorldBoston board member and AIM-IBC member for an afternoon conversation that revolved around the influence business associations have over the policy making process, especially related to the private sector’s interest in supporting the growth of emerging technology sectors. The theme of promoting healthy startup economies continued during their time at the Venture Café Cambridge Thursday Gathering.
The following day was dedicated to exploring Boston with an Innovation Trail Tour (The Innovation Trail) in the morning and with time to see Faneuil Hall. This allowed the visitors to learn about two sides of Boston: the area’s older revolutionary history and newer technological advancements.
