As Black History Month comes to a close and we start to move into National Athletic Training Month, we want to recognize Nina Walker for her contributions to the field of Athletic Training. Nina graduated from BU in 1999 and went on to work at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her impact has been felt on a global level as the Athletic Trainer for US Men’s Indoor Lacrosse. We are honored to have such influential alumni who strive everyday to better the field of athletic training for future generations.

Happy Friday! Our second year MSAT students are starting to wind down their full time clinical experiences throughout the country. We have loved seeing them become fully immersed at each of their sites and learn from those around them.

Alumni! Faculty! Staff! Current students! BUSATS has put together a gear order and they have some really great stuff. You can purchase any of these or any of the additional items selected by the board if you place an order by tomorrow. All of the items can be embroidered with a BU Athletic Training logo so you can look official.

Please email [email protected] for more information about placing an order!

This may be the last time you are able to purchase BU Athletic Training gear so please consider supporting our student organization in the process.

If you have ever had the opportunity to learn from Sara Brown, you will recognize these images amongst many more that color her lectures. At the start of each year, Sara would task the first year MSAT students with the question “If you were alone in the Arctic, how would you take a heart out of a whale?” Met by many confused looks, Sara has challenged us from the very beginning to think outside of the box and use our creative minds to enhance our athletic training abilities. We are so grateful for the unmatched lessons Sara has bestowed upon us and will forever continue to ask ourselves just how to get a heart out of a whale.
