FableVision submitted the presentation, “LOC Mixtape: Crate Digging in the Library of Congress Archive.” In this session, Executive Producers Anne Richards, Vice President of FableVision’s audiyo-yo, and Postell Pringle will discuss the creative process behind “LOC Mixtape,” a podcast which combines archival audio, expert interviews, and new songs from contemporary musicians to explore the Library of Congress archive. They will share insights on selecting tracks from the vast archive, centering ethnographic practices, and collaborating with contemporary musicians, from Bridget Kearney of Lake Street Dive, to Afro-Cuban artist Daymé Arocena, to reimagine how these songs speak to our lives today.
