Announcing IDCubed: our new modular mass timber partnership.

Integrated Design Cubed (IDCubed), a US-based company, was founded in 2022 by architects Peter Rose of Peter Rose + Partners and Andreas Krawczyk of NKBAK, with Justin Cook of the RISD Center for Complexity, and manufacturing partner Christian Kaufmann of Kaufmann Bausysteme GmbH

IDCubed integrates the processes of design, supply-chain management, fabrication, and the assembly of modular mass timber buildings on-site.

We produce affordable, sustainable, high-quality modular mass timber buildings at scale, using a highly efficient process that requires 80% fewer parts than conventional modular construction, dramatically reducing labor and build time.

We aim to make buildings and processes that address the two critical challenges of our time: affordable housing and the climate crisis.

This project designed by Peter Rose + Partners recently won the 2020 AIANY + BSA Design Award for Residential Design at the 2020 BSA Design Awards.

The home negotiates a steeply sloped site while minimizing disruption of the forest ecosystem. The home's series of treehouse-like boxes, connected by the spine of a central hallway, capture views of Bear Hill Pond through generous glazing.
