“Time is money, but time also represents the freedom to thrive.”
Our CEO, Connor Schoen, recently joined Mayor Kim Janey, Rev. Liz Walker, and Paris Alston at Children’s Services of Roxbury’s 3rd annual ROXTalks Live event to discuss advancing economic mobility in communities of color. At Breaktime, where ~87% of our Associates identify as people of color, we believe that true economic justice for our young people requires two things:
💰 Paying for their time: When surviving is a struggle, you can't afford unpaid opportunities. That’s why we pay our young adults for every second of their journey—from job training to finishing high school.
⏱️ Giving time back: Navigating resources shouldn't be a full-time job. Our one-stop Hub gives young adults their time back so they can focus on healing, community, and joy.
