1840-era Scottish stone house in Northern New York. It’s part of the grounds of the Red Barn Preserve and has been modernized inside. Scottish immigrant stonemasons were some of the earliest settlers in Northern New York following the War of 1812, and there are stone structures including houses and windmills and barn foundations all over the area.

The 3G grandmother whose maiden name remains unknown despite years of research. The Revolutionary War-era soldier whose service at the Battle of Trenton is recorded, but whose paper trail goes cold after 1781.
